He did not lie when he said that he put heart and soul to this project. It's been something we've seen a lot lately, like Keiji Inafune (Mega Man) with Mighty No. Fantasian's OST, the longest in Uematsu's career.

Sadly, as many of these old school series, the series seemed to have died off, so many of the people responsible for the original games decided to create a game that's very similar. If you didn't know, Eiyuden Chronicle is the spiritual successor to the Suikoden RPG series. It's supposed to be a prequel to the Kickstarter game Hundred Heroes, but it's weird to get a prequel to a game that hasn't been released. Out of nowhere, this game here, Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising was announced. This Kickstarter was only for the game that started the series, Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes.
